Italian 1890s Walnut Guéridon Table with Marquetry Top and Ebonized Pedestal

An Italian walnut guéridon side table from the late 19th century with round marquetry decorated top, carved and ebonized pedestal and tripod base. Created in Italy during the last quarter of the 19th century, this guéridon table attracts our attention with its circular top adorned with an exquisite décor or marquetry. A rosette style motif in the center is indeed surrounded by radiating motifs alternating lighter and darker wood tones. This top is raised on a turned pedestal adorned with ebonized accents and additional inlaid motifs. The ensemble is resting on a carved tripod base with feather inspired inlay.
