Italian Country Table with Single Drawer, Carved Apron, Tapered Legs, circa 1800

This exquisite Italian country table from the early part of the 19th century features a rectangular top with canted rounded corners over a simply carved apron with single drawer. This dovetailed drawer is decorated with geometrical motifs on a reeded background and opens up via a wooden pull. The rest of the apron is adorned with simple fluted motifs, echoed in the upper section of the nicely tapered pegged legs, while the lower section is reeded. The beautiful patina and simple yet elegant décor of this, circa 1800 Italian table would make it a great accent in any room.
