A mid-19th century oak side table presenting a two-plank rectangular molded and crossbanded top. The frieze drawer is adorned with a delicate brass drop bail topping a molded front echoed on the sides with similar rectangular moldings. Raised by angled cabriole legs ending on pad feet, this English one drawer oak side table, circa 1840, with its alternating straight and curved lines and elegant sobriety, could add a touch of gracefulness to any room, perhaps placed beside a sofa.
