English Regency Mahogany Server or Console Table with Gallery, 19th Century

$7,995

This English Regency serving table dates to the 19th century and is crafted in richly figured mahogany, defined by its elegant proportions and refined architectural detailing. The table is surmounted by a three-sided raised gallery with gently shaped ends, adding both visual structure and practical containment while reinforcing its Regency character.

The frieze is fitted with a series of drawers concealed behind a gracefully bowed façade, providing functional storage without interrupting the clean, linear profile of the piece. Below, the table is raised on slender, turned and reeded legs terminating in small turned feet—hallmark elements of Regency design that give the table a light, elevated stance despite its generous scale.

The mahogany surfaces display a warm, well-developed patina, with visible grain movement and surface wear consistent with age and use. Subtle tonal variations across the top, apron, and legs speak to the quality of the timber and the table’s early 19th-century craftsmanship.

Well suited for use as a serving table, sideboard table, or console, this piece works comfortably in traditional interiors while also lending character and presence to more eclectic settings.
