A vintage Italian gilt composition sunburst mirror from the mid-20th century with rays of varying sizes and convex mirror. Born in the third quarter of the 20th century, this Italian sunburst mirror features a central convex mirror that distorts images beautifully. This mirror is surrounded by a vibrant arrangement of sun rays of varying sizes. Starting closer to the mirror plate, short rays rest delicately on rays of increasing size. Sunburst mirrors such as this Italian one from the 1950s-1960s are excellent ways to enliven a room, particularly placed above a chest of drawers, side table or bed.
