A Spanish wooden refectoire table from the early 19th century, with two drawers, fluted accents, A-Frame trestle base and great character. Created in Spain during the early years of the 19th century, this refectoire table could be used as a console table or as a desk. The table features a long and narrow rectangular top with traces of aging expected to be found on such a piece, sitting above two carved drawers. Each drawer is indeed adorned with fluted motifs flanking an unusually shaped escutcheon. The table is raised on an A-Frame trestle base made of splaying legs connected to one another through a cross stretcher with carved accents on the sides. Boasting a nice patina, this Spanish wooden refectoire table circa 1800 will make for a wonderful addition to any home, perhaps placed in a living room or study where its great character will bring an undeniable touch of authenticity!
