Created in France during the early years of the 19th century, this wooden bench features a rectangular top newly and professionally recovered with a double welt fabric, whose neutral tones compliments the warmth of the wood beautifully. The bench is raised on four legs with rectangular supports showcasing a peg construction and graceful curving extremities. These legs are connected to one another through an H-Form cross stretcher strengthening the ensemble beautifully. With its elegant lines and complimenting colors, this small French wooden bench circa 1800 will make for a wonderful addition to any home, perhaps placed in a living room perhaps under a window or in a bedroom at the foot of a bed.
