A set of eight English oak ladder back dining room chairs from the early 20th century, with rush seats and comprising of two armchairs and six sides. Created in England during the Turn of the Century which saw the transition between the 19th to the 20th, each of this set of eight dining chairs features two armchairs measuring 23.25″W x 20.5″D x 38″H and six sides each measuring 17.5″W x 16″D x 38″H. The chairs each present a slightly curved ladder back, flowing seamlessly into the hind saber legs. The armchairs showcase two tall arms coming to rest upon straight supports. The rush seat is resting on the four legs, connected to one another through spindle-shaped side stretchers. With their simple lines and rustic appearance, this set of eight English Turn of the Century oak ladder back chairs circa 1900 will make for a wonderful addition to any home, particularly placed in a dining room perhaps around a farm table!
