Petite Italian Walnut Side Table with Single Drawer and Fluted Legs, circa 1870

An Italian petite carved walnut side table with single drawer, geometrical motifs, unusual fluted legs and side stretchers from the second half of the 19th century. This Italian walnut side table features a rectangular top sitting above a single dovetailed drawer with scalloped apron. This drawer is beautifully adorned with symmetrically arranged geometric motifs, and opens thanks to a wooden pull. The corners of the apron are marked with rectangular block joints, surmounting the four fluted and reeded legs on which the piece is raised. Resting on four ball feet, the legs are connected to one another through nicely scalloped side stretchers. With its elegant Silhouette and lovely patina, this Italian walnut side table, circa 1870 will compliment any décor beautifully, perhaps placed in a living room, bedroom or hallway.
