A pair of tall hand-carved Syrian mirrors with mother-of-pearl inlay and ebonized wood accents from the early 20th century. Each of this pair of Syrian mirrors features an exquisite frame. The triangular crest is adorned with a central star-shaped and mother-of-pearl inlaid motif, surrounded by an abundance of volutes and surmounting a cartouche with Arabic calligraphy. Creating a pyramidal effect, four finials lead the eye to the upper section of the crest. A trellis pattern decorates the sides, only to be interrupted by geometrical mother-of-pearl motifs. Each mirror comprises a clear beveled mirror plate, offering perfect reflection. With their exquisite slender silhouettes, exquisite décor and perfectly contrasting colors, this pair of Syrian wall mirrors, circa 1900 will be a definite focal point in any room.
