A pair of English Regency style mahogany hall chairs from the second half of the 19th century, with c-scroll carved backs, reeded and saber legs. Designed to be placed against the wall in main halls to accommodate guests waiting to be received, hall chairs adapt themselves beautifully to any type of décor. Each of our mahogany chairs presents a lovely slanted back, adorned with a C-scroll crest, leading our eye to the two other scrolls, all flanking a central medallion. The seats, left un-upholstered by design, are raised on four legs, the front ones being reeded with bun feet while the back ones are saber. With its elegant lines and lovely décor, this pair of English mahogany hall chairs circa 1870 will compliment any console table or chest-of-drawer in a foyer or living room.
