Pair of French 19th Century Three-Drawer Walnut Commodes with White Marble Tops

$25,500

A pair of French Neoclassical style walnut commodes from the 19th century, with white marble tops, three drawers, fluted side posts, tapered legs and brass hardware. Created in France during the 19th century, each of this pair of Neoclassical style walnut commodes features a rectangular white marble top sitting above three drawers with thin frames, fitted with linear brass handles on floral backplates. The commodes are accented with fluted side posts and are raised on four tapered legs each. The sides are made of simply recessed panels while the backs are unfinished, which is of course to be expected. The drawers are lined on the inside with pastoral-themed pink paper. Boasting a lovely brown patina, this pair of French Neoclassical style walnut and white marble tops commodes from the 19th century will bring a touch of Classical elegance to any home, perhaps placed in a bedroom, living room or foyer.
