A pair of oil on board small paintings by Walter Herbert Wheeler (1878-1960), depicting terrier dogs in dark frames. Created in England by WH Wheeler at the end of the 19th, early 20th century, each of this pair of small paintings features a terrier dog depicted in profile. Standing out beautifully on a neutral greenish brown background, the dogs’ coats are made of black, white and brown colors. Set inside dark beveled frames, the paintings are signed in their lower section. An excellent addition to any home, perhaps hung above a pair of side tables!
