Pair of English 1920s Barley Twist Oak Stools with Linen Upholstery and Nailhead

$6,575

A pair of English oak stools from the early 20th century, with barley twist bases and new linen upholstery accented with a brass nailhead trim. Created in England during the vibrant Roaring Twenties in the first quarter of the 20th century, each of this pair of oak stools features a rectangular seat newly reupholstered with an elegant linen fabric secured with a brass nailhead trim. The linen’s neutral color compliments the oak grain beautifully. It is the base however, which attracts the attention with its barley twist design made of four legs connected to one another through side stretchers and H-Form stretchers of similar style. Boasting a lovely brown patina, this pair of English oak barley twist oak stools circa 1920 will make for an elegant addition to any home, perhaps displayed in a living room next to a pair of bergère chairs, in a bedroom or in a hallway.
