A pair of Biedermeier Austrian walnut armchairs from the second half of the 19th century with ebonized wood accents, new upholstery and brass nailhead trim. Each of this pair of Biedermeier chairs features an exquisite slightly out-scrolled back, adorned with a pierced splat of ebonized wood. The chair is flanked with two open scrolled arms, resting on a linen covered seat, accented with a brass nailhead trim. Each chair is raised on four legs, two of which are straight and tapering in the front while the back ones are saber, in a manner reminiscent from the French Empire era from which the Biedermeier style borrows. With its elegant lines, understated décor and exquisite walnut patina, this pair of Austrian Biedermeier armchairs circa 1880 will be an excellent addition to any home, whether placed in a living room, bedroom or office.
