Pair of 19th Century Italian Baluster Fragments Made into Wired Lamps on Lucite

$2,475

A pair of Italian carved walnut fragments from the 19th century depicting balusters with gadroon motifs, made into US wired table lamps mounted on square lucite bases. Created in Italy during the early years of the 19th century, each of this pair of walnut fragments features a baluster shape adorned on the belly with elongated gadroon motifs. The balusters, resting on a square base, boast a brown color and a nicely weathered patina revealing their age. One of them in particularly shows some repairs and wood loss. These fragments have been made into table lamps that have been professionally wired for the US and are ready to be plugged. They were also mounted on square-shaped lucite bases, whose transparent quality complements the dark brown patina beautifully. The lamps measure 18.75 inches to the top of their sockets. With their elegant lines and carved décor, this pair of 19th century Italian fragments made into modern lamps will bring an undeniable touch of elegance to any home, perhaps displayed atop a credenza or a pair of demilunes.
