A pair of French carved giltwood eagle sculptures from the early 20th century mounted on new Lucite bases. Born in France in the turn of the century during the Belle Époque era, this pair of carved eagles strikes by its presence and stature. Each eagle, represented majestically perched on a branch, is spreading its magnificent wings. Imperial symbols by nature, the eagles are mounted on a newly made stepped Lucite base that allows them to stand beautifully without disrupting their golden statement. With their great proportions and alluring presence, this pair of French carved giltwood eagle sculptures circa 1900 (or earlier) will be a wonderful focal point in any room, perhaps placed on a console table, chest-of-drawers of enfilade.
