Pair of 18th Century Italian Twisted Column Fragments Made into Table Lamps

$5,500

A pair of Italian twisted column wooden fragments from the 18th century, with carved giltwood grapevine motifs and round lucite bases. Created in Italy during the 18th century, each of this pair of cream painted wooden fragments features a section of a Solomonic column recognizable at its twisted silhouette. This nicely weathered soft toned ground is beautifully accented by a delicate décor made of carved giltwood grapevines wrapping themselves around the sinuous lines. These Italian fragments have been newly made into table lamps wired for the US, their single socket resting on the top. The lamps’ total height is 27.5″ to the top of the socket and they are ready to be plugged. The ensemble has been mounted on circular lucite bases, whose transparent quality compliments the pieces beautifully. With their graceful lines and complimenting colors, this pair of 18th century Italian fragments made into lamps will bring an undeniable touch of elegance to any home, particular placed on a pair of demilunes, on a credenza or console table.
