A pair of Black Forest hand-carved oak table lamps from the late 19th century, with birds in foliage on gilded bases. Born in the later years of the 19th century, each of this pair of exquisite Black Forest table lamps features two birds sitting in a delicate arrangement of leaves of various sorts. The birds of the upper section seem to be defying one another while the birds in the lower part are peacefully pecking the ground. Each lamp is raised on a gilt circular base, whose color highlights the richness of the carved oak beautifully. With their rustic presence and lovely hand-carved décor, this pair of Black Forest table lamps, circa 1880 will bring a touch of authenticity to any home, particularly in a mountain lodge or country house. The lamps have been wired for the US and are ready to be plugged.
