A Moroccan wooden decorative box with mother-of-pearl inlay from the Turn of the Century. This small wooden box features a rectangular lidded top resting above an exquisite mother-of-pearl inlaid facade. The artist took advantage of the pale color of the mother-of-pearl contrasting on the darker hue of the wood to create various geometrical motifs, from circles to diamonds. Two lateral metal handles allow the box to be moved easily. The four bracket feet on which this box is raised are old but do not appear to be original. Born in the late 19th, early 20th century in Moroccan, this piece will be an excellent decorative accent in any home.
