A French large wooden two-part cabinet with six doors, carved panels and scalloped skirt from the early 19th century. This French cabinet was born in the early years of the 19th century, during the Restauration period, after the fall of Emperor Napoleon I. Made in two parts, this cabinet features a large curved cornice, sitting above a nicely carved rail. Three wooden doors, carved with delicate volutes, make up the body of this upper cabinet. They open to reveal inner shelves offering ample storage opportunities. The lower cabinet, made of an enfilade, is decorated with three smaller doors mimicking the upper ones. The ensemble is raised on four short legs with the two in the front being scrolled and connected to one another with a lovely scalloped skirt. Adorned with discreet floral motifs, this French 1820s large cabinet will be a definite focal point in any living room or dining room.
