A large Swiss Black Forest wooden mirror from the early 20th century, with hand carved flowers and grapes. Born in Switzerland in the early 1900s, this exquisite mirror features an exquisite hand carved frame adorned with a double layer of faux-branches intersecting with one another and accented with intertwining grape vines. Our eye however, is immediately drawn to the crest, topped with delicate and skillfully carved flowers. The ensemble surrounds a central clear mirror plate providing great reflection. With its large proportions, dark hue and enchanting décor, this Black Forest hand carved wooden mirror circa 1900 will bring a touch of authenticity to any wall, particularly in a mountain cabin or country home.
