Petite Italian Two-Drawer Commode with Grey Marble Top, circa 1800

This petite Italian commode from the early 19th century features a rectangular dark grey marble-top over two drawers. The sides are decorated with a quarter veneer surrounded by an octagonal banded inlay. Each drawer, also adorned with the same geometrical banding, feature an oval brass escutcheon. The commode is raised on four cabriole legs. With its rich patina and delicate inlay, elegant marble top and graceful Silhouette, this Italian small size two-drawer chest, circa 1800 would be a great addition to any room.
