Italian 18th Century Console Table with Marquetry Inlaid Top and Tapered Legs

This Italian console table from the late 18th century features an exquisite rectangular top decorated with a delicate marquetry. An inlaid banding frames the top, receiving in its centre a beautifully designed star motif. The apron is also adorned with the same rectangular banding on all sides. The table is raised on four elegant tapered legs. This Italian walnut inlaid console table, circa 1780 would decorate any room beautifully, perhaps a foyer, living room or hallway.
