This vintage French four-light iron lantern from the mid-20th century is newly wired for the United States and ready to hang. The lights, attached to a central rod, sit in the centre of the four-sided body. The lower section is adorned with decorative scrolls while the lantern is crowned with a triangular-shaped top. The light bulbs sit on authentic wax sleeves supported by iron bobèches. The rather linear profile of the lantern is nicely softened by the discreet presence of the scrolls. This understated French iron lantern from the 1950s would make a wonderful addition to any home, in a hallway, a foyer or outside of a covered front door.
