A French Turn of the century bleached oak oval top dining room table from the early 20th century, with animal-carved quadripod base. Created in France at the Turn of the Century which saw the transition between the 19th to the 20th, this dining room table captures our attention with its natural finish and exquisite décor. The table features an oval planked top with foliage-carved edges, sitting above a simple apron. It is the base however, which attracts our attention with its richly carved pedestal. Adorned with carved foliage and elongated rosettes, the pedestal is resting on four stunning legs each presenting a dog, a stag, a boar and a fox. Showcasing great finessed in their details, the animals are depicted in a lively attitude, most likely mid-run. Mounted on casters, the table will be moved more easily. With its lovely décor and natural oak patina, this French Turn of the Century table circa 1900 will make for a great focal point in any dining room or breakfast area!
