A narrow French walnut veneered mirror from the second half of the 19th century with beveled mirror plate. This French walnut bookmarked-veneer mirror was born in the 1870s, in the later years of the reign of Emperor Napoleon III reign. Featuring a linear silhouette, the mirror is topped with a large cornice, overhanging a lovely walnut bookmark-veneered panel whose exquisite patina reveals a beautiful grain. A simply rectangular frame surrounds the beveled clear glass mirror plate. With its narrow proportions and great finish, this French mirror circa 1870 will be a wonderful addition to any décor, perhaps placed in a hallway, entrance or bedroom.
