French Napoléon III Period Walnut Side Table with Inlaid Décor and Single Drawer

$5,400

A French Napoléon III period walnut side table from the Mid 19th Century, with inlaid parquetry top, single drawer and carved tapering legs. Created during the reign of France’s last Emperor Napoléon III, this walnut table captures our attention with its exquisite two toned inlaid décor and richly carved motifs. The table features a rectangular top adorned with inlaid Meander and oblique motifs surrounded by a parquetry frame. The apron conceals a single drawer with additional inlay and two wooden pulls. The dovetail construction reveals the piece’s age. The ensemble is raised on four elegant tapering legs, carved with rosettes and delicate foliage and mounted on spade feet. The sides and back are decorated in a similar manner, the table will therefore be able to float and be seen from all angles. With its clean lines and distinguished décor, this French Napoléon III walnut table circa 1860 will bring an elegant presence to any home!
