A French Louis XVI style walnut and brass guéridon table from the late 19th century, with pierced gallery and fluted legs. Born in France at the end of Emperor Napoleon III’s reign, this lovely guéridon table features the stylistic characteristics of the Neoclassical Louis XVI period. The table presents a circular walnut top surrounded by a delicate pierced brass gallery, sitting above an apron adorned with recessed panels each surrounded by a gilt trim. The table is raised on four slender fluted legs with arrow feet. With its clean Neoclassical lines and lovely walnut patina, this Louis XVI style guéridon circa 1870 will bring a touch of French elegance to any living room, bedroom or hallway.
