French Louis XVI Style 19th Century Walnut Table with Single Carved Drawer

$7,200

A French Louis XVI style walnut console table from the 19th century, with large single drawer, carved geometric motifs, tapered legs and fluted accents. Created in France during the 19th century, this walnut table showcases the stylistic characteristics of the Louis XVI era. The table features a rectangular planked top with rounded edges in the front, sitting above a large drawer carved with geometric motifs and fitted with floral-themed brass hardware. Adorned with a discreet carved apron, the table is raised on four tapered legs presenting a peg construction, and decorated with fluted accents echoed on the side posts. The ensemble is resting on petite arrow feet with nicely distressed patina. The sides showcase carved motifs imitating the façade and the back is, of course, unfinished. The table will therefore benefit from being placed against a wall. With its clean lines and delicately carved décor, this French walnut table from the 19th century will make for a lovely addition to any home, placed in a living room or foyer.
