French Louis XV Style Walnut Console Table with Cabriole Legs, circa 1820

$7,200

A French Louis XV style walnut console table from the early 19th century, with cabriole legs. Born in France during the Restauration period that saw the temporary return of the Bourbon monarchy, this exquisite walnut console table presents the stylistic characteristics of the Louis XV era. A rectangular planked top sits above a delicately scalloped apron, accented with discreet scrolls on three sides. Unfinished in the back, the table is made to be placed against a wall or perhaps a sofa. The ensemble is raised on four cabriole legs, whose restrained curvature compliments the delicacy of the apron beautifully. With its graceful silhouette and lovely walnut patina, this French 1820s walnut console table (or server) will bring a touch of refinement to any home.
