A French Directoire style bleached walnut enfilade from the first half of the 19th century, with three frieze drawers over three doors and Doric style pilasters. Created in France during the 19th century, this Directoire style enfilade showcases a bleached walnut finish complimenting its Classical lines beautifully. The enfilade features a rectangular top adorned with banding, sitting above three discreet frieze drawers opening thanks to the thin molding of their lower section. Their hand-cut dovetail construction demonstrates the piece’s good age. Three doors below, showcasing recessed panels and accented with banding echoed from the top, open to reveal inner shelves offering convenient storage opportunities. They are visually separated from one another through slender Doric style pilasters. The sides are made of simply recessed panels and the back is of course, unfinished. The ensemble is raised on short tapering legs on petite brass feet. With its clean lines and bleached walnut finish, this French Directoire style enfilade from the first half of the 19th century will bring a touch of elegance to any home, placed in a living room or dining room.
