A French Louis-Philippe walnut commode from the 19th century, with white marble top and four drawers. Created in France during the 19th century, this walnut commode features a rectangular white marble top with rounded corners, sitting above a perfectly organized façade. Four drawers, (a narrow curving frieze drawer at the top followed by three larger ones) are adorned with butterfly veneer. The three lower drawers are each fitted with a brass diamond shaped escutcheon. The commode is raised on two ogee bracket feet in the front and two straight ones in the back. The sides are plain and the back is, of course, unfinished.
