French 1890s Tiered Dumbwaiter Mirrored Table with Pierced Brass Galleries

A French two-tiered ‘serviteur muet’ dumbwaiter serving table from the late 19th century, with pierced brass galleries, new mirrored tops and tapered legs. Born in the end of the 19th century during the Belle-Époque era, this French dumbwaiter features two shelves, each adorned with an exquisite pierced brass gallery. New custom-made antiqued mirrors were added to each level. A slender hexagonal shaft connects the two sections to one another while the table is raised on four nicely tapered legs. The warmth of the dark wood contrasts beautifully with the golden hue of the brass galleries. With its elegant lines and lovely décor, this French 1890s serving table (called a ‘serviteur muet’ in French) will bring a sense of tradition to any living room or dining room.
