A French Louis XV style walnut desk from the early 19th century, with lifting panel, green leather writing surface and cabriole legs. Born in France during the early years of the 19th century, this exquisite desk features a writing area overhanging four cabriole legs connected to one another through a scalloped apron. Fitted with green leather, the upper section also comprises of a cabinet section adorned with a carved panel made of two cartouches surrounding a central medallion, that lifts up to reveal multiple compartments ideal to organize various documents. The lower section presents two small drawers fitted with Rococo style hardware.
