An English oak bench from the Turn of the Century with turned base and side stretcher. Born in England in the early years of the 20th century, this bench features a rectangular top with beveled edges, sitting above a nicely turned base. Four splayed column-shaped turned legs with rectangular block joints are connected to one another through a plain side stretcher. The general simplicity of the lines is perfectly complimented by the choice of the oak material, making this English backless bench circa 1900 a perfect addition to any home, perhaps placed in a foyer, mudroom or living room.
