Created in England during the Regency period, this occasional table attracts our immediate attention with its penwork décor and graceful lines. The table was first japanned black then accented with a white floral and foliage décor to which details were added with black ink. The table features a square top with in-curving accents, reminding us of an hexagonal shape. Delicate foliage stands out beautifully on the black ground. This top is supported by a thin pedestal with floral motifs, resting on a quadripartite base made of four curving legs mounted on brass lion paw feet with casters.
