An English Regency period mahogany armchair from the early 19th century, with scrolling arms, turned legs, upholstery and petite casters. Created in England during the second quarter of the 19th century, this mahogany armchair features a straight rectangular back with curving upper rail, connected to two full arms with scrolling knuckles resting on turned supports. The seat (measuring 17 inches of height), back and arms are all upholstered with a diamond themed fabric with red, yellow and cream tones. The chair is raised on four legs, turned and cylindrical in the front and saber style in the back. The ensemble is mounted on petite brass casters allowing the armchair to be moved more easily. With its elegant yet simple lines, mahogany structure and nice proportions, this English Regency period armchair circa 1830 will make for a wonderful addition to any home, perhaps placed in a living room, study or bedroom.
