An English bamboo cabinet from the late 19th century, with faux book façade and painted top. Born in England during the turn of the century, this exquisite bamboo cabinet features a lovely rectangular top, adorned with floral motifs set inside a triangular frame, accented with touches of gold and red on the surround. The sides are adorned with foliage motifs, but it is the façade that attracts all of our attention with its single door, decorated with a colorful display of faux books. This door opens to reveal three inner shelves offering convenient storage opportunities. The cabinet is raised on four bamboo legs, the front ones being splayed. Their light color contrasts beautifully with the darker accentuation of the piece. With its clean lines and charming décor, this English single-door cabinet circa 1880-1900 will bring an elegant, whimsical touch to any home.
