English Georgian Period 18th Century Oak Dresser with Shelves, Drawers and Doors

$16,200

An English georgian period oak dresser from the 18th century with open shelves, six drawers, two doors and bone-inlaid keyholes. Created in England during the 18th century, this Georgian period oak dresser features a beveled cornice sitting above three open shelves topped in the upper section with dark red inlaid diamond motifs. The lower part showcases a breakfront buffet made of six drawers organized in a T shape, adorned with bone inlaid keyholes and fitted with brass ring pulls. These drawers, which showcase a dovetail construction revealing the piece’s good age, are separated from the two doors thanks to thin turned baluster columns echoed on the side posts. The ensemble is raised on carved ogee bracket feet. The sides are made of recessed panels and the back is, of course, unfinished. With its nice proportions and oak patina, this English Georgian period dresser from the 18th century will make for a wonderful addition to any dining room!
