This English geometric front walnut chest from the early 19th century features a rectangular top with beveled edges over five nicely dovetailed drawers with brass hardware. The size of each drawer alternates from one row to the next, giving a beautiful rhythm to the front. The horizontal lines are accented with beaded moldings. The two larger drawers are adorned with raised panels for the upper level and X-Shaped motifs for the one in the lower section. The chest is raised on four bun feet. The beautiful patina of the walnut wood, combined with the linear profile softened by the curves of the beaded motifs would make this English five-drawer chest circa 1800 a wonderful choice for any room.
