English 19th Century Painted Iron Four-Tiered Table with Foliage Openwork Motifs

$8,250

An English iron tiered table from the 19th century with four levels, circular openwork sections and large scrolling feet. Created in England during the 19th century, this uncommon iron tiered table features a circular pierced top adorned with ornate scrolling foliage and gadrooned border, followed by six similar ones on the second level. Their size alternates nicely in a very lively manner. The lower section reprises the rhythm but differs at the bottom with a more airy, open design. Completing the ensemble beautifully, the table is raised on three foliage inspired legs with large volutes. Boasting a nicely weathered patina revealing its age and great use, the table is painted in a grey green color with rust. With its elegant scrolling lines, ornate design and nicely distressed patina, this English iron four-tiered table from the 19th century will make for a great addition to any home, particularly placed in a garden perhaps with plants atop.
