An English oak dresser base from the 19th century with six drawers, two doors, bone inlaid escutcheons and thin columns. Created in England during the 19th century, this oak dresser base features a rectangular planked top sitting above a perfectly organized façade. Six T-shaped drawers, (three in the upper section followed by three smaller ones in the center) surround two doors. They all showcase turned wooden pulls and bone-inlaid kite-shaped escutcheons. The doors present carved panels and open to reveal a nicely distressed green painted interior. The side posts are adorned with turned columns while the ensemble is raised on bracket feet in the front. The sides are made of simply recessed panels and the back is unfinished, as expected. Boasting a nice patina, this English oak dresser base from the 19th century will bring a touch of undeniable elegance to any home, particularly placed in a living room or dining room.
