Created in England during the reign of Queen Victoria in the 19th century, this small table top cabinet features a black lacquered silhouette with crackled effects, adorned with a golden chinoiserie décor. The rectangular top is adorned with an elegant scene showcasing men standing on steps leading to an arched gate. It is the façade however, which attracts all of our attention with its depiction of architectures and male figures protected by elegant umbrellas. The two frontal doors open to reveal seven hidden graduated drawers adorned with characters engaged in various activities, alternating with flowers and foliage.
