This exquisite English late 19th century server features a rectangular top with beveled edge over four geometric drawers with brass pulls. The graceful Renaissance inspiration is noticeable in the facade. The server is indeed supported by three elegant barley twist legs in the front-the two legs in the back being straight – and an arched skirt on the three sides. The legs secure a lower shelf, typically dedicated to receive pots and pans. The horizontal Silhouette, typical of a dresser base, is here beautifully balanced by the legs and accentuated with the thin half-columns flanking the drawers. This English server is the embodiment of refinement. The decor is exquisite but not overdone. Its great proportions and patina would make this English server, circa 1880 a charming addition to any home.
