An English oversized wooden partner’s desk from the late 19th century, with green leather top, gilt scrolling accents, multiple drawers and pull-outs. Created in England during the third quarter of the 19th century, this partners’ desk features a rectangular top fitted with green leather divided into sections, and adorned with an arabesque of gilt scrolling motifs with petite stars on the outside. Each side showcases multiple drawers and pulls offering convenient storage organization possibilities. To the left, four drawers sit below a pull-out while on the right there are only three drawers, the last one higher in dimensions without disturbing the visual arrangement. These drawers are all fitted with brass handles. The knee opening measures 30″ x 23.75″H. The sides are symmetrically paneled. With its oversized dimensions, convenient conception and dark patina, this English wood and green leather partners’ desk circa 1870-1880 will make for a great addition to any study!
