English 1800s George III Period Four-Drawer Painted Chest with Bracket Feet

An English George III period four-drawer painted wood commode with bracket feet from the early 1800s. This English Georgian chest features a rectangular top sitting above two small drawers. Three larger graduated drawers make up the rest of the facade. Each of these three drawers is adorned with a central escutcheon flanked with brass bail handles. The ensemble is raised on a plinth supported by four bracket feet. Featuring its original paint, this English commode shows a great weathered patina which, combined with its elegant Silhouette, will make it an excellent addition in any home, from a living room to a bedroom.
