This American enameled iron umbrella stand from the early part of the 20th century features a nicely curved back plate adorned with various volutes surrounding rush plants. One immediately knows you are in the presence of a water theme, reinforced by the presence of a stylized shell in the lower section, after all, this is an umbrella stand! Fittingly, we find a delightful frog in the center of the bottom tray. We love the intricate design, the light pastel color and amusing theme of this umbrella stand circa 1930. We picture it in a mudroom or foyer.
