This Dutch gilded mirror from the late 19th century features an exquisite bevelled repoussé brass frame. The wonderful frame is made of a rhythmic repetition of floral motifs delicately protected by intertwined volutes shaping a succession of hearts. The inner border is adorned with beads, reminiscent of large size nailheads. The clear mirror provides excellent reflection. This fabulous Dutch mirror, circa 1880 would brighten up any room, perhaps above a chest of drawers or console table, or in a powder room.
