A Biedermeier style walnut veneered armchair from the late 19th century, with arching base and new upholstery. Created in Austria during the third quarter of the 19th century, this Biedermeier style armchair features a small slanted back, flowing into two unusual arms partially upholstered on the top. The seat is resting on an arching base with carved medallions on the sides. The back, seat and arms have been recently reupholstered with a double welt linen fabric, whose neutral tones compliment the walnut’s warmth beautifully. With its charming lines and lovely walnut veneer, this 1870s Biedermeier style armchair will be a great accent chair in any home.
